Thank You

i've literally just wrote this in the last 10 minutes, a small thank you to JK Rowling who has shaped my life in more ways than some will never ever understand.

Thank You

 

The magic you created will live on for years,

timeless and faultless, it shall remain in my eyes.

You filled my youth with hope and prosperity,

it's beauty captivates me still so incredibly.

You have given to me a love so pure,

i will treasure it forever, sacred in my core.

 

The world you created knows no bounds,

its magic and essence do you so proud.

You gave me a sanctuary when i felt most alone,

Hogwarts to me will always be home.

 

I fell in love with what you created,

so breathtakingly captivating.

You gave me strength

you brought me happiness

you enabled a young girl with a hard shell to blossom,

to believe in a story she'll keep close to her heart till the very end.

 

Thank You for giving me bravery, love, hatred, sacrifices and pain,

reflected in the lives of the characters you paint.

No one will ever understand

the bond the reader will maintain

throughout their lives,

and carry to the grave.

 

You still whisk me away in the adventures you have told,

carried me to the euphoria

that will never grow old.

 

Thank You for making me reach out for more,

given me the courage to reach for the door

that leads me into new worlds of my own,

with my pen in my hand,

the paper alive with anticipation.

 

You have nurtured me, hurt me

and allowed my mind to grow gloriously.

You have raised me to reach for the highest skies,

to believe and to cherish,

never goodbye.

 

There you will stay in my heart forever

Never lost, never forgotten, never

quickly written so i'm aware its not as thorough as some of my other poems, i just wanted express my thanks to an extraordinary writer :-)

Jessica,I congratulate you for writing the tributes to JK Rowling who really deserves this honor.You might have noticed that she is being honored everywhere now.Have you seen the opening ceremony of the London Olympics 2012?
She was there too.
