The Other Side of Life

The Other Side of Life

A Poem by Jillian Alexis
"

If you have ever lost anyone that you love or that is close to you, you may be able to relate to this piece. Out of body experience, feeling a connection to the other side.

"

In this weightless space of transition, I feel you

Permeating my skin with your breath

I am buzzing with the energy of another life, my skin tingles

Thoughts of what once was so long ago flood me, drowning me, pulling me under

This revelation of pure unity between this world and the next awakens me

Unable to grasp or explain in words,

The heaviness of your presence hangs in the air

For you are real

I am real

And together we exist in one world with two separate thresholds

"celebrate we will, because life is short but sweet for certain." Dave Matthews band - Two Step. Dedicated that song to my aunt who passed from cancer. This is great.

I really love this piece because it proves that though one may be physically gone from this world, they still remain in spirit. We feel them there with with us, fighting our battles, helping us through. Though one may die, they are never gone and it helps remind us that we are never alone :)
