First attempt at flash fiction

I grabbed her by the wrist, looked sternly up and down her forearm, and gazed up at her eyes quick enough to see a tear forming around the three tattooed dots on her face.  I knew the growing shadow that darkened the path before us paled in comparison to the shadow that lay behind her, but love has a way of forming its own shadow over the obvious and making naïve a quality instead of a weakness.  I slid my hand from her wrist to the palm of her hand and followed her, happily.

Actually a good prosaic poem...they overlap in structure though many times.. expressive..I like it.
