A Song of Advice for Myself, 5 Years Ago

A Song of Advice for Myself, 5 Years Ago

A Story by Jennifer C

For myself five years ago:

You wanna find the love that will make you lose your balance and you will, you’ll lose your balance, and that’s ok. That’s beautiful.

But you want to keep the love that helps you find it all again inside yourself once the spinning’s over. You gotta keep it tucked in deeply, that stuff is from your family. And if it doesn’t come from your family, you’ve undoubtedly seen it somewhere else, somewhere without agenda. Some piece of love that’s culminated all your past into this present. That piece or thing that’s seen it all and continues to watch it change. It will never claim to know you. It will love you without possession.
