rainbow puddles

rainbow puddles

A Poem by Jeff Loquist
"

...

"
the sky opened
          for a moment
and spilled moonlight
          on puddles
making rainbows
           against dark water
and I smiled
           when the sky closed
hiding rainbows
           that I guess
were meant
           for my eyes only

So short, but so beautiful and atmospheric. I love it!

I often experience a moment of wonder such as this and I feel as if it were meant for me alone...a message from the sky, from nature itself.

such enchantment~ magikal inside the smile of delight framed by innocence always there for us to catch with a simple step outside the frame with arms stretched to the wonders of the world~

for your eyes and the moon and the rainbows

maybe you needed that smile

not everybody that writes poetry understands the power of the word, but you do
