The Omnicity' of Two

The Omnicity' of Two

A Poem by j.t. Nawn

she melts like the earth
forming clots inside
the        sinister valleys
of her lover’s fingerprints

a childlike omnipotence-

you are a flower
inside my mothers favorite
sweater
here
is where i can
love rain-

your stare
silently floating
with
two demons addicted to
self-loathing

i see you more

like we exist somewhere else

like we broke our chains
like we feel love again-

you mirror
the first sip
after a drought-

omnidirectional
            agency

a blank canvas

happiness is laced inside the walls
of our symbiotic asylum

it’s us.

like our
innocence
was never stolen-

like you never left.

there are some relationships that have great dips and rises...on again , off again...

but something like being soul mates...brings the two back together again like they never left each other...it certainly is that "symbiotic asylum"

like this a lot... it is deeply metaphoric..."like we broke our chains" but did we...or do we feel love again because we are an addiction to each other...we can't help but be together despite ourselves.

my first ex-wife and i were like that...kind of stayed together despite ourselves...long after the innocence and natural love had left.
