Nuestros Compatriotas Tonto

A political diatribe against the know-nothings that seem to have hijacked the Republican Party in the U.S.. Inspired by the writings of Pablo Neruda and written in what I suspect will be very poor Spanish.

 

 

 

A través de los dientes apretados el rebelde ignorante,

con la lógica de los niños,

y el fervor de la locura,

usted ha robado nuestro gran país de su potencial.

¿Qué farsa le ha llevado a estar en su posición arrogante?

¿Por cuánto tiempo podemos tolerar su impedimento?

 

 

 

Through clenched teeth the Ignorant rebel, 

with the logic of children, 

and the fervor of madness, 

you have robbed our great country of its potential.

What farce has led to your lofty position? 

How long can we tolerate your handicap?

I do not know Spanish. haha. I took a few classes, but nothing to help you with, sorry. However, I will comment on the English! I really enjoyed that part. I assume the flow is a little off due to translation in a few places, but nothing glaring. It is a great message poem. Emotional and thought out. Thank you for sharing! All the best.
