The Veil of Night

Poem I wrote, also on my blog on a site called Animecrazy.net

In pure darkness I ride
Upon the whispers of lovers
Quicker than the ferocious falcon
Fluttering in the air

Catch me in the corner of your eye
Turn to see but mere shadows
Hidden where the stars cast not their gaze
The moon's glittering rays pass over me

Night's cool breath beckons me
From the deep dark depths of shadows I climb forth
Inhale the intoxicating pleasures of life
I dash forth into the crannies where light frets

This is my existence
My niche among the cluttered lost minds
We all wander the same worn path
Until the Angel's Breath dies
