From the rusty tome, ancient phrases leak like bile and death,
Deep within this watery, cold abyss, my tongue calls out to you
Frayed pages turn, my lips move and curl with ancient dialogue
Pale, glowing moonlight strikes my silhouette and a turbulent sea below
"Arise, O Ancient One! Misery loves company."
"My soul will cry out for eternity!"
"Until this black night blankets your behemoth frame."

O, dark hours come to mother earth;
The sea rumbles and churns, nursing a divine green disease
Vocal chords vibrating like a war drum, beginning the march of the dread
And I feel his eyes open,
His roaring soul set aflame
A miry, green dome arises from the depths...

I shield my weak, mortal gaze,
As his unholy highness ascends from eternal slumber.
"Cthulhu ph'tagn!" I shout and praise, with strained vocal chords,
Green ichor fills the ocean, much like a cancer upon mother earth's mind
Yellow, unbearable light fills the ocean, as his eyes meet the salty air,
Ancient, broken-down spires surround him like his forever-sleeping guards.

For a moment I lift my gaze upon the ancient one;
Luminescent, godly pupils lock with mine,
My once clear mind churns in pain akin to a maelstrom
The end will arise like the sunset...
For the Spawn of the Stars shall walk the earth!

Very well written. I am still deliberating but there is a high skill level in this poem. As for the underworld character it reminds me of the dark angle in the book of Revelations to be released from his underwater chains and let loose on the earth during the great tribulation.

Very nice homage to H.P. Lovecraft. You could actually use more bombastic diction seeing as how it is...H.P. Lovecraft. I'm a big fan of his work and this brought back some memories. Very good stuff!
