It Was The End There

It Was The End There

A Poem by jordanfrancisco

now i find myself
in a bottomless pit cold
it was the end there

flat lined with viewers
just let me rest in peace now
your torture is done

where are the roses
that had lined my bedside table
all that is left dark

slowly light comes in
beginning to float above now
free at last

Nice economy of words and vivid imagery in this one. We are not told specifically what the situation is, but it sounds like the beginning of a near death experience. Then again, perhaps it is the Full Monty.
