A Poem by joshua deathdealer

There

I pushed away the vines that grew

From the thresholds of my heart

To see

Green barren hills that graced the countryside

Bountiful with a surrounding forest

Smiling

Farther in the distance I made out

Gardens hanging in splendor, such colours

Gleams

Of yellow and blues mixed

With hues of lavenders and orange

Rivers

Ran through my soul as I stepped closer

To find you in white raiment

Waiting

Softly with your songs of serenity

Your pages of comfort and hope

Patiently

Sitting, surrounded by vast beauty

Waiting for this coming of home

How lovely, you really bring the reader into this world that you are describing to experience the magic of nature in the way that you see it.

Ran through my soul as I stepped closer
To find you in white raiment

I really liked these lines, they called out to me the most during this journey.

You really painted a wonderful picture in my mind. The flow was amazing as it normally is. I wished I could live in a world as beautiful as you paint in this piece. It would take me away from all the negative things in life. And then happiness would be in my heart. This piece is going into my favorites brother. Loved it. Truly amazing. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you kindly Anne for your review and for your time.
This is so utterly great, and sensitive high, my bestie. So breathtaking Josh... with such an imagery as you can embrace death and dark realms, and give new worlds a place, a name, and sight, I want to be there, with my family. Forevermore, and live in peace. I could smell the flowers, and plants, by your words, the ambrosia was seen. But then the hard truth knocks on our doors, we still have so much work to do here. It's not time yet... sigh.

Another breathtaking piece from you, Joshua. I seriously admire the way you portray such imagery. So beautiful. So vivid. So exquisite. This poem took me into a journey of words that seem to touch my soul. Very soothing. I really love how you put those colorful ideas together in a single composition. And have I mentioned to you before that I like your writing style? Hahaha. I'm serious. It's very enthralling. It flows smoothly and it never ceases to keep me reading. This one was such a fine work. ^^

Have to agree there lol xx
This is very peaceful and it has great imagery, I love the colors you described. I think my favorite visual was "Green barren hills that graced the countryside, bountiful with a surrounding forest" partly because I love being around a forest, so peaceful and beautiful. I enjoyed reading this poem and I think it flows wonderfully.

Great Job
