Wheels stuck on pavement
Rolling over, over, over
Bumping along towards home

As she gets closer a wave
Throws over, pulling her
Under, through, around

Her eyes strain to picture
Driving this road
Living this life, lonely

Days between connection
Weeks between embraces
Years before completion

She distracts herself, betters
Feels like she's sitting still
Waiting and waiting and...

Her mind is clearer now
Her music softer still, suffer
She almost disappears

With a touch he outlines her
Reminds her of her space
Resuscitates her heart

With renewed vigor she goes
Wheels on pavement to home
Solitude and waiting and...
