Chapter 68

A Chapter by Jemma Packman

Indigo walks downstairs, past Gaz and Ethan asleep on the couch, and into the kitchen. Summer and Priscilla are sat at teh table. Priscilla says "Morning, Indigo. How's your head?"
Indigo says "Not so loud."
"Funny. I heard Summer say the same thing to you last night."
"We didn't. I'm not. I don't."
Summer says "I said it so you won't wake the boys up on your way upstairs. You were taking pictures, yelling how cute they were."
Priscilla says "It was funny as f**k."
Indigo shakes her head and sits down. Summer stands up, puts a mug in front of Indigo and kisses her forehead. "Drink your coffee."
"Would it have been so bad if it had been because of sex?"
Indigo glares at Priscilla and says "Where's my breakfast, b***h?"
"Your house, your duty."
"I'm suffering."
Summer says "I'll do it."
Priscilla says "So whipped."
"Not into that."
Summer starts getting the things together to make breakfst. Gaz walks in and says "Summer's making breakfast? Cool."
"Where's Ethan?"
Ethan walks in rubbing his eyes and says "Mommy?"
"Yes, buddy?"
"I'm hungry."
"I'm making breakfast now. You want pancakes?"
Ethan shakes his head. Priscilla says "Ethan, why don't you sit with Indigo and I'll get you my specialty."
Gaz lifts Ethan into Indigo's lap and says "There you are."
Ethan says "Momma, have you been crying? Your eyes are all red."
Priscilla laughs. Indigo glares at Priscilla. Priscilla holds her hands up and says "I got breakfast to make for a handsome man."
Priscilla stamds up. Gaz says "Summer's making mine, Babe."
"I know that's why I said handsome man, not spoilt brat." Gaz sticks his tongue out at Priscilla. "Don't show me it unless you plan on using it."
Indigo covers Ethan's ears and says "Priscilla!"
Priscilla shrugs and walks to the cupboards. Ethan moves Indigo's hands, hold them and says "I don't like you looking sad, Momma."
Gaz says "She's not sad, she's hungover."
Indigo says "Gaz, go help your girlfriend."
Gaz walks over to Summer. Ethan says "You're not sad?"
"No, little man, I'm not sad. How can I be? I got you and your mommy in my life."
"And Gaz and Cilla."
"You like them?"
"They're funny." Ethan leans himself on to Indigo. "I like you more and Mommy the best."
Priscilla puts a bowl of cereal in front of Indigo and Ethan, and says "What do you think?"
Indigo says "It's cereal."
"Never claimed to be a chef."
Ethan says "Thank you." Gaz and Summer are insulting each other. "Why is Mommy hitting Gaz with an egg flipper?"
Indigo eats a spoonful of cereal and says "He probably started it."
Priscilla says "Hey. I made that for Ethan."
Ethan says "I don't mind sharing."
Indigo sticks her tongue out at Priscilla. "Planning on using that?"
Indigo says "Not on you. Go break them up."
Priscilla walks over to Gaz and Summer. "Children, will you behave? You're near a stove."
Gaz sasy "Babe, she hit me."
Summer says "You were poking the food."
"It looked too good to be true."
"That s**t won't work with me."
Priscilla says "Gaz, you deserved it and as punishment you get to dish all this out. Summer, go sit down."
Summer hits Gaz before walking to stnd behind Indigo and hugging her. Gaz says "They fit, don't they?"
"Do you want that?"
"Maybe. Do you?"
"Never used to, but things change."
"Yeah, they do."
Summer says "My cooking's getting cold, b***h."
"Except her."
Sabrina enters the kitchen, hits SUmmer in the back of the head and says "Not around Ethan."
Summer sits next to Indigo. Sabrina takes a seat as Gaz and Priscilla bring the breakfast over.
