Chapter 90

A Chapter by Jemma Packman

Indigo and Priscilla enter the bar. Priscilla says “I’ll get the drinks, you find Princess.”

Indigo nods. Priscilla heads towards the bar. Indigo heads towards the back of the bar, where the party banners are hanging. Indigo stops when someone grabs her hand. She turns her head to see Summer. Summer says “You really did miss me.”

Indigo says “Didn’t you miss me?”

“Of course.” Summer kisses Indigo. “Indi, why are you really here?”

“Priscilla may have threatened to come alone and get drunk.”

            “Ok?”

            “She would’ve hit on you.”

“I would have turned her down, but I’m still happy to see you. Even if you don’t trust me.”

            “I trust you, I do, it’s just…”

Priscilla says “No-one can turn this down.”

Priscilla waves her free hand at herself. Indigo shakes her head. Summer says “I must be no-one. You have a boyfriend anyway.”

Priscilla hands Indigo a bottle. “He wouldn’t mind. If he got to watch.”

Indigo says “Eww. That’s not going to happen.”

“Fine. Indigo, you can watch too.”

Summer says “I am not going to have sex with you.”

            “Spoilt-sport.”

            “Yeah, I’m no fun.”

            Indigo says “That’s not true.”

Indigo kisses Summer. Silvain says “There you are, and slacking again.”

            Priscilla says “Leave them alone.”

“She’s meant to be working. Rosie, put her down and come on.”

Summer says “Fine.” Summer kisses Indigo. “You waiting for me?”

            Indigo says “Always.”

Priscilla says “I could help him so you two can go home.”

Silvain says “Why would you want to do that?”

            “Early birthday present.”

Summer says “Yeah, no. I would like to keep these clients. They have a big family.”

            “I won’t screw up, Princess, I swear.”

Indigo says “Give her a chance.”

Priscilla moves closer to Summer and puts her hand on Summer’s chest. “Yeah, give me a chance.”

Indigo moves Priscilla’s hand. “Not like that.”

            “Kidding. Mostly.”

Silvain says “Rosie, your head isn’t here anyway. Let her help me finish up, and you go home. I’ll see you Sunday.”

            Summer says “Sunday?”

            “Fine. Monday.”

            “Thank you.”

Priscilla says “Do I at least get a kiss?”

            “Sure.”

Summer kisses Priscilla’s cheek. “That it?”

“Yep.” Summer grabs Indigo’s hand. “Bye.”

Summer and Indigo leave. Silvain says “What part of your plan is this?”

Priscilla says “The part where we conspire. Come on, I’ll let you buy me a drink.”
