The blank page stares at me
It glares at me
As if to say
Ok
Lets see what you got
I’m your’s for the taking
If you have it in you
This is what you want
To speak to the world
Or are you chicken s**t
Are you afraid to fail
Or just afraid to try
My mind has the will
But what of my heart
Someone’s going to read this
And what will they think
Who cares says I
If they think me a fool
What of it
It’s my poem
And I don’t care who likes it
Or doesn’t like it

with the exception of the last several lines, i can relate to those thoughts. i am in the midst of writer's block, and i found this poem to be amusing and encouraging. i agree you shouldn't care what others think of your work, that's not your problem. very interesting poem.

love this poem. i have been afflicted with writer's block for a long time now. this is clever witty and encouraging. this is something i could read again and again. maybe it's just the thing. great poem. oh, by the way, i enjoyed listening to to bob dylan. thanks for putting him on there.
