Where is my muse?

Where is my muse?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

The words are there.
They just seem to be waiting.

I admit I am feeling a bit frustrated.
The words are always there.

Step back for a bit.

Talk with some friends,
 and remember.

I started to forget.
I only tell the stories.

The world around me creates them.

I see a great deal of humbleness in this writing. I think I too should look out into the world around instead of delving inward for stories. Nice perspective.

The stories are there. Memories help. Mix with the world around.
We're all waiting for those stories to be written Jon, waiting for the inspiration to point us in the right direction. The distraction of doing something else while we wait usually clears out the backlog of thoughts, stuck inside us. Nicely captured.

This was inspired by an ashtray. Christmas gift, and there is another story.
