A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Title goes to my co-writer. This is a collaboration with Shannon.

"
I have six hours,
 and then I should sleep.

Won't you join me for a drink?
 All fruity.
 Sip a sweet tart?

Bourbon and coke.
Smokey flavor.
Drink your drinks,
 full of longing.
Hopeful memories,
 vacations lingering.

Sorry, you know I run off at times.

I don't mind when you run off. ☺️

Mix some sour apple, absinthe, fresh lime juice and grapefruit Italian soda.

It's probably the girliest things I like.

Sadly,
 I walk away,
   my imaginations provide the flavor.

Seem to hear a voice.

 No need to be sad.

It's what happens when an artist and technician meet.

Well, I only know one of you guys, so I would probably offend one or both if I were to guess who the sweet part and "sour" parts were. But I will say that this is a wonderful collab, and that's coming from someone who avoids collabs like the plague.
The last line really speaks to the reader, making them want to read it again and again.

I do try and hold up some form of a reputation.

Your rep is impeccable Jon :)
very clever collab.

opposites attract....sweetness mixed with cold hard reality...
each gives a little...has another drink.

That's a great way to describe it. In this case I think we alternate.
