Bruises slowly fade

Bruises slowly fade

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Actions have a reaction
  Often leaving a mark.
Some of the bruises show on the body,
 others on the soul.

Marks on the body heal more quickly,
while those of the spirit linger.

A bruise to the spirit or to ones faith can effect them long after the mark has faded away, so aptly put, and usually so easily remedied if one wanted or even bothered to care how it may have affected, effected, infected a naïve spirit, or as Rani says below...

Marks on the body heal.....while those on the spirit linger, For forgiving is easier than forgetting.

Unfortunately, forgiving is an art many never seem to learn. Thank you.
How aptly said... And those bruises on the soul linger long enough to keep reminding us what caused them...
Deep write, well penned.
