The elephant in the room

The elephant in the room

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Do I make a comment?

So far it has been silence.

Most are running with rousing statements.
  Declamations seem popular.

I was quiet.
  Wondering,
    but too scared to ask.

Friends checked in,
and I could take a quick breath.

Still,
 I cry.
