Fesili

A Story by Jon Roggie

They look at me as a child.
Easy mistake to make,
 and I forgive them.

Tala understands,
 but he is growing tired.

I take him back to his sanctuary.
The three ladies try to hide their dismay.

Sitting over a cup of hot cocoa,
their whispers still reach my ears.

Anne says,
"let him sleep in the back."

Marion agrees,
"It would be for the best."

Julian adds,
 "It will give him strength."

Then,
the trio are looking at me.

I sadly smile,
"Before you ask. Yes.  I know."

Part of being the question,
is you are quick to see the answer.

The four of us lead him to a room in the back.
A few new stories will make him right.
