I will just talk

I will just talk

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I have to get this out of the way.
This will not be a serious piece.

Look at the title.
Spoken Word.

Now,
  since I have the microphone....

This does not work.
You write something,
  and it doesn't work.

It hits the ground like an uncooked pancake.

In my usual rambling way,
  there is a meaning.

To be quite honest,
I have been compiling all of my writes,
and am getting a touch wonky.

I have four more years.

I like this becuz it's so authentic & down-to-earth. Even tho you're blathering, it's done artfully with tender humanity & a great pancake metaphor! Your creativity creeps in there even when you think you're not knocking it out of the park! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

I have fun blathering!
Looking at the work and the journey it represents...some areas represent more growth than others.

It is a learning experience!
sometimes we do question our work...wondering if it is worth anything and if it really makes any sense to anyone but us.

As oddball a style I have, it is interesting looking at older writes.
