Just a way to write

Just a way to write

A Poem by Jon Roggie

If words were meant to be restricted,
why is it easier to let them run free?
Sharing the feelings trying to be told?

I admit it is a learning process.
 Still learning.
  Thought I should mention it.
You might have noticed the lack of progress.

I understand the forms.

Various patterns,
  expressing beliefs felt dear,
     reflecting ourselves.

Part of learning to write.

Hemingway write. Write what you believe and what you know. Perfect writing don't mean the words have great meaning. Thank you Jon for sharing your words and thoughts. I liked them.

There is something about simplicity in words.
I write like I talk.

That is poetry. Write how you talk. Easy to grasp and understand.

You are always showing a touch of yourself,
at least if they are honest writes.
i think this is perfect...and i think perfect poetry is that which just flows from the heart and mind without inhibitions...
sometimes the most carefully constructed poems end up being quite flat in the end.

Superbly stated, as ever Jon. If we cannot express ourselves in the way that we feel, we may as well all be puppets, with some moron in charge, pulling the strings and making an a*s of us.
Hmm, sounds familiar :)
