Six hours of peace

Six hours of peace

A Poem by Jon Roggie

The destination is almost sad to see.
The trip is worth so much more.
Cruising in the traffic,
  dodging possible mishaps,
    riding alone.
No conversations.
  Time of freedom.
Stilled by reaching the destination,
 but with a smile.
I get to drive six hours home.
