A little bit of luck

A little bit of luck

A Poem by Jon Roggie

If it was skill,
I would have quit long ago.
I seem to have a touch.
Win when it is unexpected.
Not what others think,
 you should understand.
Eight cents into seven hundred dollars,
and it only took a few hours.
Add that to a few nights stay,
and a couple of tickets to the current version of Yes.
One nice dinner,
and a chance to set up a gathering of friends.
Eight cents have turned into an event
and I still get to play for free.
