A Poem by Jon Roggie

Just below the skin,
 waiting to be shown.
Smile at the rising sun.

Memories tear at the soul,
 wanting to be let free.
Sip of grapefruit juice,
 sitting in the patio chair.

Feelings caged,
 still waiting.
Maybe a swim.

Raging inside,
unable to break through the simple facade.
Looks like another beautiful day.

This is exactly how I feel about writing. There's so much more that I just can't cough out. Sure, I write about many topics & people may consider me to be pretty open about my life. But there are so many deeper & more intense things I wish I could write about. You put it perfectly here (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I compare it to an office party. You have a smile on your face, while thinking what you really feel.. read more
