Behind all of this

Behind all of this

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Why are we here?
Personally,
 I am trying to learn.
Writing is tricky.

Sorry,
 my niece distracted me.
She was wanting advice on a design for a clay figure.
This is why I ramble.
Where was I?
Writing.
By the time I start,
I am usually finishing a day preceded by five hours of sleep.
Not fully cognizant.
Our fellow writers put up with me,
or at least leave me be,
  but we do talk.
I have found friends around the world.
We talk about our words,
and now and again write together.
At this point,
if anyone wants to point out grammatical errors,
  feel free.
I slip up once in awhile.
Missing my editor.
Missing a friend.
Sharing stories behind the curtain.
All of this is happening behind our simple words.

It's amazing how many are drawn to social media websites where it seems so many are clamoring for attention, but nobody is giving any. Here we have a social community that's very special. The sharing is so much more personal & open & trusting & reciprocal. As the years go by here, I find the experience only gets better. I love finding out more about where you're coming from, as you write, so I can take that into consideration as I read you (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie

That's the cool thing about artistic license! *wink! winK!*
and i believe we all miss sleep together and get frazzled together...

our words connect us...we can all relate to the ups and downs of writing...as a group.....it is just that simple...

you speak for all of us here.

We may be in trouble if I speak for all of us here!
