Twirling a mop stick

Twirling a mop stick

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Granted the mop head is not attached.
 However,
the stick is around the proper size.

Inch and a half thick,
around five and a half foot long.

Something which takes concentration.

Irritated my drummer friends.
  They would drop their drumsticks.

You roll it from finger to finger,
and pass to the other hand.

Just like a large baton.

Concentration takes you only so far.

There will be mistakes.

Might be a few bruises.

Also,
 you do this outside.

Don't want to take out the knick-knacks on the shelf!
