CracksA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)
Cracks in the sidewalk
As I step on loose pebbles Cracks in the ocean As it breaks on the sand Cracks in the sky As the clouds break through blue Cracks in the tree trunk As the time breaks the bark Cracks in the daisies As the petals fall dainty Cracks in the mirror As I look for some reason Cracks in old paint Once lovingly brushed Cracks through the old wooden walls Of some abandoned house Cracks through the glass As it shuddered and broke Cracks in the mountains As the trees get felled Cracks in my face As I cry for your attention and love Cracks in your lies I see the light through the web Cracks in your face As you realise I'm leaving Cracks in the stars As I sit all alone Cracks in my door As I turn my lone key © 2017 Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)Reviews
