MistakeA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)Writing as I go
A simple
No not simple In goes my dimple A drastically simple Err of judgement Better left unsaid My mum would say But no I said it You bit your lip Your eyes They grew too wide I tried to taste my spit Alas my mouth it was too dry I licked my lips said my piece Then now no hiding It’s out there In the universe Every angel heard my simple whim My whisper whinged It’s out there Under all of heavens sky Now I run away no not to gloat Cos these are tears that fill my eyes © 2018 Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)Reviews
