Mould

Mould

A Poem by Juliespenhere.
"

The Bain of our lives stupid ditty

"
Bunnings eat your heart out
You keep us home makers
Leaving a steady trail
To your shop running through it’s manly tooly aisles
Alone us women push bluntly through
What’s new on the shelf
I see a new white bottle
With pic of a shiny tile
I want that tile it belongs to mine
To replace my dingy creamy green
Specks of Black that
Somehow always reappear

Mould in my house
Like mould through my years
Someone always dying or leaving me
And bringing me to years of tissued out tears
I stand in my bathroom with rags and bleach in tow
I see my life before me
Bleached white
As if it’s pure snow
I scrub
I wrestle with that brush
The bleach it’s making me cry
The mould in my life
Enough is enough I shout
The bath and shower all shiny
My gloves I throw away
I won’t sit and cry over mould
For any more of my days
