Summer holidayA Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)I’m on holidays go back to work in three days
Waves crashed on my rock
Our rock We sat upon Like two teenagers Young again Our feet cool in the ripples just a few hours ago But That tide it never stops Just Like time Never still I want to catch it Hold it Breathe it in Make it stop Make it be Our time Our dry rock But just like the song “And The tide rushes in “ So to I will have to leave You and our beach our rocks shells sand sunburn Hugs our laughter To my little desk A hundred Miles away No tide will wet my feet there As I sit prim and straight I long for next time here with you Our rock our tides that flow On sand so white © 2018 Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)Reviews
