wrapped

wrapped

A Poem by Julie McCarthy (juliespenhere)

she wrapped herself in
webs of gold
the silver strands
she neatly holds
the spider web
it glistens near
she trips
on falling star
so near
but yet so far away
she gazes
into heavens fray
in her outstretched
hand
she holds
a bloom
of last weeks posy
from her dismal
gloomy room
a bud so red
its faded now
it came from
her long lost lover
delivered
to her
weeping heart
that bled
so  with liquid sheer
the moon
the stars the sky
the spider web
she wraps
it in her heart
and wept
upon her little step
