Out of time

Out of time

A Poem by Moonflower

Desire nailed into the thick air,
lustrous eyes, delicately rounded,
Watching her straw get distorted in the glass,
Just as if it would.
The hungry heart is a ravenous beast,
Calling to be fed and yet, not misunderstood.
Music painted onto silence,
Another pair of eyes she see's,
Awaiting the modulation of spring.
Hearts beating, distance and length intertwined,
At precisely the wrong moment.

This is an interesting piece. I've read it four times, and I'm still not sure I've gotten to all the layers. One technical note, you don't need the apostrophe in sees.

I had to read this more than once to reach inside to find my way.

A well written poem I believe it needs to be a little longer to chapter the undertones that you so nicely presented
