THE MOTHER WHO LOVED ME…

THE MOTHER WHO LOVED ME…

A Poem by yashmita13

THE MOTHER WHO LOVED ME…

I remember the night,

I was born.

You held me tight,

And took an oath,

That you’ll protect me

Forever.

I grew tall and thought

Would you do it ever?

Had you’re love for me now, faded away?

I didn’t know much,

But I knew

It wasn’t too late.

Now I am sobbing,

Every day.

Asking god, why

He took her away?

I know that he

Exchanged her;

Gave me a mother who has Hatred.

I want my mother back,

The one who was with me.

I want the mother

Who once loved me.

A very sad poem. I agree with the sadness. Knowing love and losing it. A lifetime to try to understand. Thank you for sharing your excellent poetry.
