Poised, ready to deliver an oration to the readied masses
Your shadow made a slow descent, ready to annihilate,
“Shut up, no one wants to hear you”
Shifting grounds, a nervous fog had blanketed the arena.
Formulated thoughts, maneuvered into chaotic dysfunction
Peering through the mist, I clawed for lost syllables,
“Why are you speaking, no one is listening”
Shuffling, re-balancing on legs of liquid matter.
Like a thief in the night, you reached for my sound
Through a caved in cellar, fingers reaching for oxygen,
“What did you say, no sense do you make”
Collapse was inevitable, my voice had been raped
Shifting of gray matter, recapturing of stolen words
Orbs brought into focus, the soul battle had commenced,
“Leave me the hell alone, these sayings I own”
My arms reached out, choking you on reams of word
Then I lit the eternal torch
