Rainy Days

Rainy Day

An autumn soft sky regarding recent events

Rejects and revises former gentle contents

Cloistering clouds crafted with darker intent

Ensuring excessive moisture, now endlessly vent

Slush and mush, slip-sliding slithery slopes

Moulding dismal damp days into misery mopes

Cresting and crashing into dirt dry creek beds

Boulders bashing and crashing like empty heads

Foam fueled furor, fearlessly flaunting raw power

Wild ride relentlessly raging each endless hour

Wending to wide valley, past deer and wildfowl

Dry gulches growl giddily with raw roaring howl

Then, when wind and rains will has been done

And drained dark clouds bow out to bright sun

That instigation of weathers worst, gone insane

Leaves blessed bright of day, to beam once again

Wow, what a winsome, wet, wild, pre-winter wide, er... ride, my friend. May the sun always rescue us from the damp and dreary.
