Jane

Jane

A Poem by john l smith
"

tree stuff

"

Jane

As her love life had suffered a recent sad crush

She took a consoling safari thro’ African brush

She thought Africa was a great place to scout

To see if a good man might be hanging about

She saw him swinging, through the tall trees

His mighty muscles rippling with ease

His handsome face made her stand and stare

She dreamed of spending their lives as a pair

Because this was a man raised by apes in the trees

Something else followed him along on the breeze

This scented something Jane had no wish to share

So she recommended a deodorant he could wear

Though it became something of a coin toss

All brands were nosed out by ‘Jack Black Pitt Boss’

With Jane already using a feminine ‘Dove’.

They now share a sweet smelling love

With a third wee swinger near on the way

Which Jane expands on day after day

It will be ‘Fresh Kids’ for possible future offense

In total, their scent defense is truly immense

John,

Thanks for the witty poem about the Ape Man himself. I remember reading the comic books and the natives all saying, 'ugla, boogla!'

John - you are truly something. I love this, but I couldn't help but to wonder how Cheetah felt about all of this?

Ha-ha! This is crazy-funny. Is that Jack Black Pit Boss cologne for real? Is so, I gotta get me some. When going on liberty off the ship, one of my navy buddies always said he'd put on a goodly amount of something I'd best not mention here.

How amusing Tarzan and Jane and a case of personal hygiene. Jane needs Tarzan to smell sweetly. Quite right too. Who wants a stinker in close proximity. Fun read.
