spring Flowers

spring Flowers

A Poem by john l smith
"

fields

"

Silver slopes slanting

With their gleaming glow

Reflecting from barn rooftops

And a silver silo

On a distant hill

Cross flung fields gleaming gold

Crusading crowning colors

Parading a sense of bold

Beyond rustic fence posts

Where crooked barbed wire

Wastes away, bent, hanging

From their heat harried hosts

A fence of tall trees

Corralling waves of gold seas

Silver slopes shine through days hours

With a smile from springs flowers

Ahh . . . no harm in priming the anticipation, my friend. This is a lovely little ditty. Trees are budding down here in Kentucky . . . not to rub it in too much.

Once a west coaster, always a west coaster (Ithink)
This is a lovely write Dave. So visual, and with a promise of things to come. You paint a pretty picture with your words. Hope all is OK with you.

Thank you. Getting near dinner time here. Been a nice sunny day, although still cold. Take care.
thank you for this picture, john. yesterday here actually felt like the artist in the sky was getting quite ready to start painting what you put into words.
