Silver slopes slanting With their gleaming glow Reflecting from barn rooftops And a silver silo
On a distant hill Cross flung fields gleaming gold Crusading crowning colors Parading a sense of bold
Beyond rustic fence posts Where crooked barbed wire Wastes away, bent, hanging From their heat harried hosts
A fence of tall trees Corralling waves of gold seas Silver slopes shine through days hours With a smile from springs flowers
