Anger

Anger

A Poem by Kimmee Jean
"

A response

"

Its not easy

I never said it was

For life goes on

And visions of the future changes

But a pleading is nagging

A begging is nipping at my heels.

Apologies aren't enough anymore

Tears cannot move the stone that stands place

Where my feelings for you stood.

I wanted action and I got complaints and resentment

I wanted love and I got scorn

I wanted understanding and just a little compromise

And all I got was a couple of days of "affection"

I might as well been another guy

I might as well been a w***e

I might as well been a maid

I might as well been just someone to yell at

I didn't do this for freedom

I didn't do this for liberty

I did this because tomorrow was too far away

I did this because today was being wasted

I did this because yesterday was history

How come you want me when I'm gone?

How come you fight now that the war was lost?

How come you couldn't feel this way before?

How come you love me when i'm not at your bedside?

Why not then?

When I kissed you.

When I slept with you.

When I gave you everything.

When you were my world.

Why not then?
