A Favor I Ask

A poem for a dear friend I've lost

Hey you must have heard the news

She and I fought yesterday

But knowing her she won't survive another day

So I have a favor to ask you today

Can you please be by her side?

I can't because she wouldn't allow me to

Tell her everything's going to be alright

Tell her stay strong with all her might

Then give her these pack of cookies

Don't let her know that I baked them

Tell her that you did and not I

So that she wouldn't feel shy

Give her a cup of milk

It lightens her mood for a reason

And that's because when she was little

She'd have that as her grandmother cradles her

After that can you buy her a bowl of cherries

It would also make her happy and merry

Then as you do please wipe her milk mustache away

I know that she'd leave that astray

Then can you listen to everything she says

And tell her this to brighten her day

"The world isn't so cruel as you see

Because right now you have me."

Hug her as warm as you possibly can

She loves resting on somebody's shoulder

So I hope this won't be much a bother

She just couldn't stand me anymore

as i read this it come differently in my perspective. Its like a love triangle, a person
gives way to a friend so that his friend would be happy..

and in the friend perspective you've done it really well. Its really sweet, if you really want to be friends again with this person, then show your intention in the
open, she would appreciate it than in the other person care.

uhh... loss of punctuation marks I guess...
This poem reminds me when I wished something like that but if you only hold one person dear you can't give her to someone who might not provide the same love and care which only you can give...
Relationships are important and there are times when you've to let go... But choices can also lead to your friendship's end...
Ask yourself: Do I really have to let go?
Anyway, good poem
