Thoughts gone astray

"
Reunion

Yesterday I saw you and today you are gone
Please tell me the things that I may have done wrong
So much to hear your voice I do long
Into your arms is where I belong
Please come home to me as I sing this song

Where are the things that used to be good?
Tatters of remnants of things that I should
Please carry me again as only you could
Placate my worries not misunderstood
While Calliope dances away in the woods

What is broken if it was not once new?
Wings that will take me into a sky so blue
Take me to where a love is so true
Mansions of marble is where I go to
Where I belong, where I am with you

I felt the memory and the wish in the poetry.
"Wings that will take me into a sky so blue
Take me to where a love is so true
Mansions of marble is where I go to
Where I belong, where I am with you"
I liked and I understood the above lines. Thank you Kaeridwyn for sharing your amazing poetry.

reminiscent of past......of love.........
we do long to go back........sometimes so much that we feel broken, odd........and loose all sense of belonging......
beautifully expressed.....
