Words too Kind

Words too Kind

A Poem by Wise Whisper

Words too Kind

Belligerence from a reasonable mind
To try and make them understand
There is no place for words too kind
When violence is what their book demands
For innocence of those too blind
A false prophet’s irrational commands
For Your love they need to find
Please shine Your light on me today

Torment of a questioning mind
Find words to make them understand,
There is no place for words too kind
When evil makes such vile demands
Wide awake but to be so blind
When actions interpret dark commands
For Your grace I’ll help them find
Because Your love shines on me today

The poem made me think. I believe in this new world. There is no room for kindness. Which is sad. People fighting for centuries and most don't know why anymore?
"For Your grace I’ll help them find

I liked the above lines. We do need kindness, concern and grace in this world. Thank you Kaeridwyn for sharing the amazing poetry.

This is wow! Strong imagery! Powerful narrative/message! and impressive musicality (even though it gets a bit wonky in merely two lines in Stanza 1....lines 4 and 6, but 6 more evidently than 4). Very well done!
