Monochrome Coin

Monochrome Coin

A Poem by Seresta

The world is clear-cut.
Purity and sin.
Justice and chaos.
Two sides of a coin.
The world is clear-cut.
White is the color of integrity.
White is the color of innocence.
(Yet white is tainted).
The world is clear-cut.
Black signifies immorality.
Black signifies discord.
(Yet black is pure.).
The world is clear-cut.
White is good.
Black is evil.
Facts are facts.
The world is clear-cut.
But humans are complex.
White loses its brilliance.
Black gains a new gleam.
The world is clear-cut.
Darkness is black
And light is white.
But we walk in twilight.
The world is clear-cut.
Yet we are beyond reason.
Humans are contradictions.
Simple but intricate.
The world is clear-cut.
Convoluted humans are
neither white or black.
We are grey.

I tried to stick with the monochrome theme I envisioned. I hope you enjoyed.

The antonymous theme of the poem really went along very well all along the poem, classy, edgy, well written and ordered, yet, this may not make it experimental, but the theme itself may attribute to it such a name, liked it
