I Think

I Think

A Poem by K.

It's one a.m. and once again, I don't know what I'm doing.

I'm thinking, I'm thinking about what to say to you tomorrow when you look at me the way you do, when you say those things, when you act like that. I'm thinking you don't care about me, but you do, everyone knows you do, except for me.

You're leaving next year, which means I'm leaving too, 'cause you're a part of me. But I don't know where I'm going.

I think you're wasting your life with me. All you've been doing is getting sicker, and I've been getting sadder, but not for the right reasons. I'm sad at myself, which makes me mad that I can't be happy for you. I'm at war, I think.

I open a text message to say this to you, so you can finally understand, but me saying something would change everything.

I remember what we used to do, but those days are gone, gone, gone.

I hope you remember me after you leave, 'cause when we see each other again, maybe I'll talk then, and you can finally hear.

You say you might be leaving sooner than next year, but I don't think I can take it, so maybe I could just go with you.

Author's Note

Wowwww. It's been waaaayy too long. I literally just had this spark of inspiration (finally) and wrote this, so yes.. it's weird and not perfect (if you were expecting that, why are you here?!), but it's been almost 6 months since I've even written anything or been on this site. So happy to see and hear from all my friends :) Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Quite honestly, I adore reading such pieces which appeared alike a phase of 'love-letters'; where the true feelings're shown in words. It's no love-letter but an open flesh of your craving heart that's being longed to have what it deserves. The funny thing is, it deserves to have love-drops but somehow, it only gets the drops of tears, for no reason. How funny the love is - it brings smiles but tears to eyes as well. In love, it's way easy to say "Hi" but even harder to say "Goodbye". The piece you've written's not just a piece but a pearl of your flesh that's leaped into words from your ecstatic mind. Your heart seemed to be broken real hard. It's all couched through what you just pen on... but you ain't regret for it. Your talent ain't let you doing regret for anything whatsoever happened to your past. You write what you feel and that's all where "you think" you find real peace of life.. by letting feelings tremble into winds. Well written!

Short and not so sweet.
You leave the reader hanging by an emotional thread, wondering about so many things here. And you do it with relatively few words.
You seem to have quite a talent for that.
Well done.

I like the poem. I liked the flow of thoughts and the possibilities rolling in head and thoughts. I like the ending. Better to go with than wished you did. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
