Awareness

Awareness of the life within.

Swelling intensity,

 Overflowing Christ reality; 

Coursing strength and power,

Water of life my drink;

I the growing seed,

Pure awareness, vacuum filled.

in time bearing fruit.

Jesus holds and supports me;

Dependency on His Spirit,

Pure relief. My release!

I don't know if i'm religious anymore. Not sense we had to put down our 16 year old shepherd mix who was filled to his eyeballs with arthritis and cancer . Not since it was pointed out to me that no where in the holy scriptures does it say that dogs have souls, and thus, will not be in heaven with us. WTF! And while Richard Branson is preparing a rocket ship to take people to Mars. And since the rest of us poor and lonely souls are relegated to writing about the soothing mysticism of a heavenly monarchy, I still know how to love and appreciate someone else's love and appreciation.....great poem.....dana

I know that this world is hard and we all just groan at times with the hurt and pain. Sorry to hear about your dear fur friend. It's hard to know what to say when suffering is real like that. I really appreciate your sharing what is real for you. I know what is real for me and we all are looking for the truth one way or the other. I think it is a clue to our being created by a Great God that loves us.

Love this one Kathy. Poetry can be interrupted in so many ways. I suppose it depend on the readers state of mind. I believe this is especially true when reading Christian literature. God speaks to and through the author and then He speaks to the readers heart and spirit. This particular work made me realize that I am in a constant state of spiritual growth and solely dependent on God for His Living Water and The Bread of Life. Without this, without Him, I am nothing. Any and all attempts to do it my way, on my own will be futile. My seed will bear no fruit. This really spoke to my heart. Beautiful ending. Be blessed.....

We are like a thermostat; temperature and state of being- is peace our covering or bitterness? Sometimes if just feel like life is not meant to be complicated but when it is I think God designed us to just trust Him. What can we really change by worrying.
