Beautiful Cleansing

Beautiful Cleansing

A Poem by Kathy Van Kurin

Beautiful cleansing

How beautiful grief’s cleansing,

Tears from deep sorrow.

But where do these soul drops come,

This great weeping?

God you are more spacious then deep blue of sky’s expanse.

A great storehouse is this Blanket cocoon of our Great Creator’s earth.

How beautiful; human depths filled with new understanding.

Will our own life song claim beautiful lessons within our tears?

Our tears are yours Holy God;

We can only cry as little children

-  In times of helplessness, we are as little lambs.

You hold us and our hearts.

We are yours after all; for nothing is hidden from your knowledge.

As the psalmist says darkness and light are both alike to thee.

Psalm 139:12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee;

but the  night shineth as the day:

 the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

                          You are our place of rest and safety in every place of pain as well as joy.

When you can reach a place of pure sacrifuce and repentance, pleading and crying for God to take over and wash you clean and place all in the altar- that’s where the tears of cleansing clean your spirit and soul- Hod needs to have full control- we are nothing without Him- wonderful words🌹

A woman of faith and spiritual understanding. People look at pain and suffering as something negative, but they could be a great teacher in life as well as making us loving and compassionate. Thank you for sharing. God bless.

All true. You are very welcome. All rich blessings.
John 16:33 (NIV)
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Sorrow connects us to the comfort of God's presence. Suffering makes our hearts more tender and sympathetic towards others; thus purifies our lives and causes our spirits to rejoice in the hope that lies before us.

Your share emphasises that spirit of faith, hope and trust for a promise giving! Well written piece … :-)

There is a beautiful, lifting spirit in your words. The darkness comes for us all, but there is the light of God's presence to guide us on, to cleanse us, and purify us even in suffering. What a profound vision of life, real life, deep life.

Absolutely ethereal & transcendent poem my friend! I am so drawn in by its spirituality. Beautiful language, flow, cadence, Bible references...it has such musicality and is like a hymn from your dear heart. Tears are offerings to God that purify the soul- yes and Amen. Thank you for sharing this Kathy-a perfect poem this Sunday! Xo:)
