Spring (ACT 1 - Scene 4)

SCENE 4

 

The orphanage. Excel enters. He has a notebook in his hand.

 

EXCEL: (Looking towards the orphanage) Hmm… so this is the celebrated Ruberd Rabert Orphanage.

He continues to stare that Spring enters with a basket clutched tightly in her hands.

SPRING: Well, hello there. I’m guessing you’re new to this place.

EXCEL: (Smiling at Spring) Yes I am.

SPRING: You’ll love it here in this Orphanage!

EXCEL: Okay, Thank you.

     He starts to walk.

SPRING: Pleasure. You know there are tons of great people here as well! There Cris, Valerie, Edward, Lila –

EXCEL: Yeah, nice. I have to go now… I’m in a kind of a hurry…

SPRING: Oh, you’re in a hurry? I’m so sorry, I didn’t know!

EXCEL: (Smiles and turns away) Bye.

SPRING: Oh, by the way… what’s your name?

EXCEL: (Turning his head by a fraction) It’s Excel. Excel Rudon.

      He exits.

SPRING: Excel? That’s an odd name… (Frantically) Oh what am I saying! It’s a perfectly okay name! I’m such an idiot! I’m so rude! Ugh… (Bonking her head) Stupid Spring.

                                                                                                                          Curtains fall.
