Shadow

I am shadow

I am but a shadow
I come in the morning
And go with you everywhere
But like a shadow
I am easly forgotten
Few listen to a shadow
They continue to walk on
Dragging their shadow behind
I am a shadow
I am always with you
I never leave your side
I humble myself at your feet
But like a shadow
I am constantly stepped on
No one cares about a shadow
They continue to walk on
I am just a shadow
I am with you at sunset
But you're too busy watching the sun
to watch me walk away.

this is has ben my favorite poem this year. amazing job. you really captured what it might be like to be a shadow. it sounds like a sad life. extreemally well writen. it really moved me.

This poem speaks the truth about shadows - literally and figuratively. How sad that some of the most loyal people are not given the friendship and credit due. I really like this. :)
