Something New

When we met face to face,

your eye's glistening under the fluorescent lights

made my heart race

as I started imagining a relationship with you.

That smile made me flustered

my hands uncomfortably sweaty

and when you hold my gaze for an extra second,

I wonder if you feel it too.

We've only just met 

but I feel something different around

your awkward comments and

the way you spell "millennials" completely wrong.

Does it count as infidelity 

if I keep these thoughts to myself?

Try as I might to picture a change,

my heart remains close to my 3 year relationship
