Soul Contract

Soul Contract

A Poem by Kay J.
"

A poem about acceptance that virginity isn't what makes us pure or innocent. Giving love shouldn't be something one is guilty for.

"
Strip me naked
Strip me clean
Give me innocence
As bright as a pearl
As delicate as rain

I've seen you in my dreams
You've been the waves that pull me under
You've been the tornado that ripped through my soul
You've been the car crash that stopped my heart

I've been waiting for you
To be loved and hated
To be sensualized and hurt
All in the same breath
Pieces have been given and taken

Scars like tattoo's
On my skin
In my mind

The stitch that closes our wounds
A contract between us two
I've given you every part of me
Wrapped in  a pretty white bow
You've given me a flame

I lay here exposed
I am clean
I still have everything I thought was taken from me
